Munnar – Anaviratty & Ponmudi dam

Today we started our day from East Stavanger. It’s a wonderful homestay on Anaviratty road from Munnar and the owner Rateesh gave us a nice tour of his spice plantation. It is very nice – all spices & fruits and you can really understand the nuances and see how these spices are grown – up and close. We even got to taste cocoa beans – and it is not sweet 🙂 The sweetness of the chocolates comes from the added sugar in it.

Lunch – Hill Top Bakery – Hit

Afterwards, we had lunch at Hill Top Bakery on the way to Kallimali View Point. Just loved the food here, never relished so many flavours in rasam. Food was awesome I have never eaten a better south Indian Thali. It was just priced at 70 rupees and it was so amazing that we had requested that they arrange the same for the evening when we return from the Kallimali View Point.

Ponmudi dam – Hit

Very nice views on both sides from the bridge on the Ponmudi Dam – one side we have water the Reservoir water and Other Side lush green mountains -very lovely and very few people around here so you can just chill and enjoy the peace with nature.

Ripple Waterfalls – Hit

We are now at Ripple waterfalls and there is a zipline facility here. From this point there is a lovely view of the waterfall and the mountains behind it. I am thinking whether to go for the zipline or not. I didn’t do it in the end 😦

Nevermind nevermind :), I got some really mesmerising shots from the waterfall area. Below are the pictures.
